Stupid QC LOL

|
I remember, I was so shock knowing Pontoon isn't there last Wednesday.

Stupid me. It's because it's Water Festival, and they took it for the boat race.

Anyway, i'm just paranoid that there'll be no Glory Hole Thursday...

What’s up y'all!

|
We need to catch up my colorful friends!

There’s a lot in store for everyone… Like the new branch of Romantic gay sauna in Siem Reap, the new sort of gay hotel house called Green Garden House that will be opening this week, the Phnom Penh Pride that’s on its way planning, exhibitions in Meta-House, the Vagina Monolugue…OMG…We really need to catch up.

But for now, I want to thank you all guys for helping me to decide if I need to pursue this blog.

Now, I have better plans and new cool stuff to talk about about the colorful life in Cambodia, for the meantime give me time to renovate the new home as you can see I changed the logo, and soon we’ll talk not only about gays, but also considering our lesbian, bi, discreet and closeted friends.

So if you have some thoughts you want me to feature or personality you want to be interviewed, please let me know – email me at queercambodia@gmail.com and I’ll see what I can do.

I’m also starting me QC’s faves…that you’ll be seeing me logo to my favorite establishments in Cambodia.

That’s all.

PS: I’m at Blue Chilli tonight 9pm - meeting with Oak about PPPride.. Cheers!

The Queer Cambodia Post. lol

Here are some of the breaking news that happened and will happen tonight or this coming weekend party/ies.

Elsewhere Bar Last of the last?

Everybody is confused when hearing that this is (tonight) is the last First Friday of Elsewhere. So go there tonight and have a big bang by saying goodbye to Elsewhere’s first Friday party. Maybe next March is “again” the last first Friday. lol Let’s see.

Blue Chilli’s Drag Show Wednesday

Last Wednesday, there’s a drag show in Blue Chilli. Much speculation had built, that they’re going to do it and compete with Pontoon. The answer: is NO! It happened that Oak’s friend from Thailand visited him here in Phnom Penh and he’s a dream to perform like a drag. So instead of thinking that this is a competition, think that this is a dream come true for a someone. *wink*

Fly Lounge Opening

After hearing “in two weeks” from the owner of Fly Lounge. Finally, he come up with a date. So February 14 is FLY day!!! so all the single gay folks out there! Go to Fly Lounge at St.148 corner Sothearos (near Metro)

Asia Life’s Above Grade

February issue of Asia Life Guide is out now. With its head copy cover “Above Grade: Coping with the Building Boom Boost”. Grab your own copy!

Asia Life Guide’s Blind Date

Single this Valentines season? Book yourself at 012385157 (for straight folks, but try it why not? lol) this February 11 (Wednesday) 7pm. $2 including the 1st drink.

Who doesn’t hate goodbyes?

Yes, goodbye is the hardest part for the great people we dealt with. Troung – the owner of Green Flame Bar decided to move back to his home country Vietnam and settle himself there. Bye Troung! Be safe! and so long from your QueerCambodia family. So the queerest question now, What will happen to Green Flame? did he sell it or just closed it?

Stolen things at Sauna

I love saunas. Who doesn’t for a gay guy right? But now I’m a bit afraid going to any one of those (aside from my favorites, lol) because I received reports that their wallets, cellphone and other belonging was stolen in sauna’s locker. Hmm..I don’t want to name drop. But please. To you all gay guys – be aware ok? take care.

Romantic Spa, threaten with new extended Amam??

I heard from some gay gossips that Romantic Spa (the leading gay sauna here in Phnom Penh for almost 4 months now, and named as the biggest gay sauna) was threatened with Amam’s renovation and extension? I heard that “maybe” they’ll come up with a new promo or maybe extension too. But the only thing I’m sure with, he’s doing a new promotional advertisement for their spa.

So that’s it gay folks! Hope you’ve been updated with the latest headlines around the gay life of Phnom Penh. lol

Who said that Phnom Penh, Cambodia is boring?? lol

Cheers to the gay life!!!

xoxo,
QC

New US President commits to further LGBT rights

|
Newly sworn-in US President Barack Obama commits to oppose a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, support full civil unions and federal rights of same-sex couples, expand adoption rights, fight workplace discrimination among others.

New President Barack Obama called for a 'new era of responsibility' as he took the oath of office as the United States’ 44th president – and first African-American president in the country's history.

In his 20-minute inaugural address, the new president acknowledged how far African Americans had come in the country with one poignant line.

"This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed - why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath."

Fire in Bangkok gay sauna kills patron

|
One man was killed and 36 others injured as a massive blaze swept through a shopping and residential complex in Bangkok's Chinatown district on Sunday night, just days after a fire at a nightclub in the Thai capital claimed dozens.

A 45-year-old man was killed in fire that razed through a popular sauna in Sua Pa Plaza on Bangkok's Charoen Krung road in Pom Prab district.

Bangkok's The Nation newspaper reported that the victim – identified by the police as Sanguan Saenkaew - was found by rescue workers on the seventh floor of the building early Monday morning. He is believed to be a patron of GSM Sauna at the time of the fire. Reports say about 60 fire engines fought the blaze which took hours to put out.

The blaze was reported to have started at about 8.30pm on Sunday night. Some 100 people were evacuated from the nine-storey building via two firetruck ladders and a helicopter.

The sauna - said to be popular among locals and travelers from Hong Kong and Taiwan - also operated a massage parlour on the fourth floor and guesthouse on the sixth floor.
