Hi queer friends!

it's been a while.
First sorry about the un-announced gay events in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

The very active Gay Pride Committee of Phnom Penh who did events before the Pchumb Benh. The opening of the "gay-friendly" guesthouse in Siem Reap called Golden Banana - Check that out! so nice. The newly renovated Blue Chilli - they're bigger now and they're planning to have a disco night- love it!. The promotion of Linga Bar Siem Reap as they have special drink everyday. And the gay event at Metahouse and Pontoon.

Sorry bout that.

But I know queer events are always F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!!

That's about it!!

It's holiday again on Thursday maybe Pontoon will have a special gay night.

Yesterday at Blue

I went to Blue Chilli last night. To be honest it's been quite a while that I went to Blue Chilli (St.178) - to be exact the last time I went there is the pride week when they have a big drag show.

Anyway, I saw a lot of new faces - maybe mostly travelers, but some I think that they're newbies (maybe working here), I saw some cute ones and some are don't, I also saw old faces - like the money boys my friends slept with, and I saw one that I slept with.

Of course, the Blue Chilli experience is incomplete without the greeting of the wonderful people behind Blue Chilli (Phnom Penh, Cambodia). The 2 kiss-on-the-cheek of Oak, the bows and big smile of Didi, and of course the macho hand shake of Sokha... and the "How are you?" of the other staff of Blue Chilli.

I miss this place where gayness in Cambodia is freely expressed, whatever kind of gay you are - whether you're looking just for fun, looking for friendship, just want to have some drink with friends, or just want to drink alone, entertaining some guest, looking for a customer for that night or hoping you'll meet you the one true love - well, Blue Chilli of Phnom Penh, Cambodia is the best place for that.

So love Blue Chilli.

The term – Gay Friendly

Part of my vacation is because of this word – “Gay Friendly”

People who’s been reading my blogs – and reacting good and bad.
And taking this term into an explanation.

Well, Blue Chilli is a gay-friendly bar – but for what I see the term should be “Straight Friendly” rather than “Gay Friendly”.

Likewise to the other establishments that called themselves a Gay Friendly business.

Got my point? Very odd.

Anyway, my point is..it’s like you’re not embracing your business by saying you’re a proud gay establishment.
Well that’s me.

Anyway, it’s just a thought. No debate. I’m an open minded person.

But I want to acknowledge my friend who owns Fly Lounge…he prefers not to put label on his bar – it’s not only for straight, it’s not only for gays, it’s not for expats and not labeled as khmer – It’s a Bar!

Friends, give me time to establish my sort of “Straight Friendly” Blog. I’m arranging stuff, new home and better place to search on…

And maybe next week, I’m starting to put the latest happening about the colorful life here in Cambodia.

Blue Chilli - the best drag show in Phnom Penh

OMG.
I watched last night show at Blue Chilli.
I thought it's just an ordinary one 'coz I know there's no special occassion.

But I was wrong.
Oak did funny stuff with his act, first act he finish 1 glass of beer...and the 2nd he finished a bottle of Black Label.

it was amazing! oak will do just for the fun and people who goes to his bar.
I must say Blue Chilli is making money even though there's a global crisis...' coz it's always full house and people are squeezing inside.

Oak! you're really need to extend your bar!!!
